Bitumen

Bitumen is used worldwide for improvement of binder characteristics for use in wearing courses of flexible pavments. CRMB is prepared by the addition of reclaimed truck tires further improved by the additives

Our Firm is trading all types of emulsion and modified bitumen and importing bitumen(both bulk and packed) from middle east countries. Premium petro products is also the empanelled supplier authorized by the Karnataka PWD.

Source Imported viscosity grade bitumen, penetration grade bitumen, Bitumen emulsion and more at Fair prices!

All grade of bulk and packed Bitumen

  • VG-10- Bitumen is the softest grade of viscosity bitumen. This type of bitumen is widely used for spraying applications and surface coating
  • VG-30- Bitumen is primarily used for construction of extra-heavy bitumen pavments that have to bear significant traffic loads
  • VG-40- Bitumen is used in areas in which high pressure comes from heavy traffic loads, such as intersections, near tolls booths and truck parking lots

LIGHT DIESEL OIL (LDO)

Light diesel oil comprises of distillate fuel with small proportions of residual fuel. Classic group has been a manufacturer & supplier of LDO to many industrial units.

  • LDO (Light Diesel Oil) is largely an industrial fuel. It acts as a key ingredient in the generation of electricity and heat in a number of production units. It has been used since a long time for such purposes and has gained much importance and inevitable value.
  • The LDO (Light Diesel Oil)) consists of Medium length chains of hydrogen and carbon mainly alkanes, cycloalkanes, aromatics and oils. Basically LDO (Light Diesel Oil) is termed for medium commercial extracts from crude oil.
  • LDO (Light Diesel Oil) is widely used by various industries in thier manufacturing activities for the purpose of generation of heat and power. It has a lower flash point compared to heavier Fuel Oil (FO), for easier ignition.
  • LDO (Light Diesel Oil) is a medium colored fuel, either distilled or residual fraction of various oils that is extracted while distillation. This fuel is free flowing in nature.
  • Class C category fuel.
  • Flash point above 60 degrees Celsius.
  • Effective fuel alternative for varieties of furnace & boiler applications.
  • Accurately composed & provides superior performances in engines & machines.

CRMB (Crumb Rubber Modified Bitumen)

  • CRMB-50- Improves resistance to thermal & low temperature  cracking
  • CRMB-55- An excellent Adhesive
  • CRMB-60 Reduce cracking & deformation.

Emulsion on all grade

  • RS-1: Rapid setting emulsion
  • RS-2: Medium Rapid setting emulsion
  • SS-1: Slow setting emulsion
  • MS: Medium Setting
  • Cold mix emulsion

Petroleum Coke:

  • Fuel grade petroleum coke i.e used as fuel in power plants, cement kilns, steel industries, blast furnaces etc. Fuel grade petcoke accounts for over 80% of the global pet coke production
  • Anode grade petroleum coke or Raw pet coke (RPC) or green pet coke (GPC) or non calcined petcoke is used for calciners to produce calcined petroleum coke (CPC). CPC is used in aluminium, graphite electrode steel and titanium dioxide industries.
  • High carbon content low sulphur calcined petroleum coke is made of calcined petroleum coke as raw material, then going through fully graphitization of the continuous graphitization process under the high temperature of minimum 2600•c, used for as fuel source in power plants.

What is emulsion in road construction?

Road emulsions are road construction materials. Traditionally, they are made up of three components: bitumen,  emulsion, and water.  These materials are used in highway construction and highway repairs and can be applied by hand or spray tanker.

What are the characteristics of bitumen road emulsions?

Road emulsions have become increasingly popular for the above applications due to their many advantages over a pure bitumen application.

The first and largest advantage of road emulsions is that they do not need to be heated to the same levels as bitumen alone – negating the need for an oven. Furthermore, the ‘paint’ like nature of the product means it is easily spread over an entire surface in a more uniform way than pure bitumen. This also makes it ideal for pavement waterproofing, as the material can be applied like a sealer.

Likewise, because this emulsion is much thinner than traditional bitumen applications, it can be used for road markings, such as warning signs, without making the road surface unusable or impacting skin resistance.

Road emulsions are also a popular choice because they can be used in low temperatures and humid conditions – conditions which are quite common in the United Kingdom. For these reasons, they are often used in road patching, restoration works and as a surface treatment to roads during preventative maintenance.

What are the uses of emulsion in road construction?

Road emulsion in road construction, repair and maintenance can be used for:

  • Mist spraying
  • Patching
  • Velocity Patching
  • Re-treading
  • Surface dressing (particularly following pothole repair)
  • Micro asphalt Surfacing
  • Grouting
  • Concrete Curing

What are the advantages of road emulsions?

There are 4 clear advantages of using road emulsions for the applications listed above.

  1. The way it is made means that the high viscosity of bitumen is kept in a form that can be used at low temperatures.
  2. The low temperature of storage means that the thermal degradation of the binder is minimised, as well as hazards from fuming.
  3. It offers an ‘all-in-one’ solution with superior wetting and adhesion properties – meaning that it can be used for permanent waterproofing.
  4. The low temperature of storage and application means that energy use is minimised, and the risk of fire is much reduced.

Surface Dressing & Road Emulsions from BB BULLS

At BB BULLS, we offer a comprehensive range of polymer-modified highway bituminous products and surface dressings which are HAPAS approved for use with our key partners. These are:

  • SuperCoat
  • FortCoat
  • PolBit
  • FortSeal

We also offer an aesthetically pleasing surface dressing emulsion called LockChip which can be used to seal down newly dressed highway surfaces. This emulsion creates a good-looking, waterproof and durable finish and is suitable for patching, repairs and preventative maintenance.

As highway bond coat specialists, we are also able to produce a range of bespoke polymer-modified bituminous emulsions including PolyBond and BituTack, a cationic emulsion available as a conventional tack coat and as a higher-grade emulsion for traditional ‘tar spray and chip’ projects.
